The iconic UK soul-singer, Kenny Thomas announces his brand new single ‘Looking up to you’, a cover of the timeless Michael Wycoff song – This marks the first new music release since 2022 and after the critically claimed 2024 re-issue of his long lost and unreleased ‘HIM’ album from 1995 on Chrysalis Records. This also follows on from the release of his very first ‘Best of’ in over 30 years which was out in Nov 2023 around his sold out UK tour. Commenting on the new single Thomas says, “This is a song I’ve always wanted to cover, and I knew that Opolopo would bring an incredible fresh take on this Soul classic – I had a huge amount of fun when I first introduced it to my live set on the ‘Brit-Soul Ascending tour,’ it went down really well with the fans. I’ve enjoyed recording it, and hope it brings something fresh to the original which I have always loved.
